Anna Atkins (1799-1871) was a English photographer and botanist.
She was considered to have been the first female photographer. she uses the technique cyanotypes which is a 170 year old photographic printing process the reason she did this is because it was easy and inexpensive she had created images by hand, she also used various plants in her prints |
