What is Puzzled 'em
Puzzled'em was a old party game made in the 1930s.
it included 1-14 black and white objects that were taken in usual position.
This makes it difficult to understand what the object actually is.
This is a trait that is needed in abstract photography so its understandable to see how they both link. The game itself seems very interesting as it helps expose other peoples interpretation of the objects.
Our task is to create our own version of puzzled em.
What i must include:
-How many cards to create.
-Which objects you will photograph.
-How you will photograph these objects e.g. in situ or against a backdrop, natural or studio lighting, colour or black and white etc.
-Remember, the aim is to photograph the object in such a way as to confuse the viewer.
I also have to document every process of improving, developing, publishing this project

My attempt 2
In attempt 2 i decided to experiment outside of the theme and take pictures of images instead in conclusion i feel like its better to stick to my main theme so i dont get confused. what went well was the amount of pictures i have taken and even better if i took them from a better angle.

Final product
Overall i think how i made and the time i made it in was very successful due to the fact i had less time to prepare my game. i also started to think outside of the box....literally as most of my peers where doing box so i decided to think outside the box and make an envlope package
Saul lieter
Saul Leiter (1923-2013) was born in Pittsburgh, Leiter's interest in art began in his late teens, and though he was encouraged to become a Rabbi like his father, he left theology school and moved to New York to pursue painting at age 23. he befriended the Abstract Expressionist painter Richard Pousette-Dart, who was experimenting with photography. His friendship with Pousette-Dart and soon after, with W. Eugene Smith, expanded his interest in photography. Leiter's earliest black and white photographs show an extraordinary affinity for the medium. By the 1950s, he began to work in color as well, compiling an extensive and significant body of work during the medium’s infancy. His distinctively subdued color often has a painterly quality that stood out among the work of his contemporaries.
My favorite image of his
The reason why i chose this image is because i really like how imaginative yet how simple this image really is.
what i think makes it look interesting is the fact its mirrored almost makes it look like its from 2 different perspectives but from one point of view.
i also like how it has the formal elements of composition, lines and colour that is what is also interesting about this image.
